Supplies

  • Aerosol Primers
  • Newspaper / Cardboard

Before you Begin:

  • If you want to paint an even coat of one color on most of or an entire figure, prime the figure with that color. I have used Citadel acrylic black and white primers for my Jedi Leia and K-3PO. There are also some other colors like blue, red, green, and gray in the line. I have found that you can get very good results this way. If there are parts you don't want painted (i.e.: head), just cover them with masking tape.

Step 1

Tape up any parts of the figure that you don't wish to be primed.

Step 2

Set up a place to prime away from anything you don't want to be painted (I use a coffee can inside of a cardboard box).

Step 3

Set the figure up in the area and cover it with one coat of primer. Let it dry for about 5-10 minutes.

Step 4

Add additional coats if necessary.

Step 5

Remove tape and continue customizing.
