Step
1
Crack open Vader's torso. Remove the head, and using an
Exacto knike cut the helmet just above the breathing apparatus.
|
|
Step
2
Hollow
the remainder of the head and remove the figures head
post.
|
|
Step
3
Position
a Lobot head directly in the center of the Vader area you
hollowed. Drill a hole through the center enough to slide
Lobots head post through (Lobots head post will
replace Vaders as the one on the figure). Make any adjustments
necessary to get Lobots head to fit tightly and securely
(including using epoxy clay if necessary).
|
|
Step
4
Once the head fits in cut a slit along the back and front
right side of Lobots head using an Exacto knife.
|
|
Step
5
Cut the saber hand off the Vader figure.
|
|
Step
6
Using wires and epoxy clay, fill the back of the
lightsaber arm on the Vader figure and sculpt grooves into
it to make it fit the according style of the body suit. In
the front end of the arm stick a few wires in.
|
|
Step
7
Prepare to put the torso back together and make any necessary
adjustments to the head post in relevance to fitting on the
body (i.e. you may need to shave / sand the inside of the
torso so the Lobot headpost fits correctly.)
|
|
Step
8
Paint the neck post on the Lobot figure black and assemble
the torso completely.
|
|
Step
9
Paint the figure. When painting, paint the Lobot head a mix
of gray and white and add pink to the 2 areas cut with an
Exacto knife to simulate scars and gray around the eyes to
simulate age. Add any additional detail you find necessary
and complete the figure by adding a modern Darth Vader Gunner
Station figures cape.
