Before you begin:
-
This is the ridiculous-looking short, slow,
overweight Dignitary who comes off the Shuttle
behind the Emperor in ROTJ. He deserves an action
figure! Here goes:
|
Step 1
Remove Bib Fortuna's head.
|
Step 2
Shorten Bib's arms: On each of Bib's arms, slice
twice with the knife to cut out the section covered
with the bracelets. Then glue the detached hands
to the arms.
|
Step 3
Shorten Bib's body: Saw Bib twice, once in the
stomach and once in the crotch. Remove the cut-out
section, and then glue the remaining two
sections back together. We want a short, squat
Dignitary, so use your best judgement. Don't worry
if it's sloppy.
|
Step 4
Prepare the head: Remove whatever head you plan
to use and cut off everything above the eyes.
|
Step 5
The hat: If you could find the part I mentioned
above, fill it with Sculpey and glue it onto the
top of the head. If not, just sculpt a long
tapered cylinder, about an inch in length, on top
of the head.
|
Step 6
Use Sculpey or clay to sculpt on the front of
his robe. This will cover up any problems that
occurred in the body-shortening, but unfortunately
it will probably cover the leg joints and make the
figure unable to move its legs. It doesn't bother
me but you might want to figure out a way to prevent
this.
|
Step 7
Bake if necessary to harden the Sculpey.
|
Step 8
Cut out a cape from the fabric and put it on him.
|
Step 9
Paint in those muted purple colors, with black hat
and gloves, and greenish white skin. I used a fine
marker to give him green eyes.
|
Step 10
There you have it!
