Step
1
Boil-and-pop the head from Luke Skywalker X-wing figure and
slice the hands off.
|
|
Step
2
With a dremel tool, clean out the helmet carefully until
it is hollow and thinned out. Using the G.I. Joe Bazooka figure
as reference, continue hollowing the head until the helmet
fits on the figures head.
|
|
Step
3
Unscrew
the Bazooka figure and remove the head. Place the Joe head
in the Luke X-wing figure (you will need to shave both the
figures head post and the Luke X-Wing body in order
to get the head to fit because the G.I. Joe head has a ball
pivot head).
|
|
Step
4
Cut the gloves and forearms from a General Madine figure
(cut about ½ inch above the end of the glove line).
Using the gloves as reference, cut the remainder of the Luke
X-Wing pilots arms so that the gloves are proportional
to the body.
|
|
Step
5
Drill a small hole in the center of the cut end of
the arms on the Luke figure. Using the holes you just drilled
as a reference point, shave and cut the excess arm above the
General Madine gloves so that they can be plugged into the
hole you just drilled (once in the gloves will fit tight and
be able to swivel much like the hand on the modern Luke Bespin
figure).
|
|
Step
6
Paint
the figure accordingly and add a Biggs notorious logo
to his helmet (remember this is a vintage figure so dont
go too crazy with the helmet detail - try to keep it simple).
