Yarael Poof by Elliott Thomas

Figure Supplies

  • Emperor's Royal Guard- (body)
  • Darth Sidious- (arms)
  • Violator from the SPAWN line- (hands)

Supplies and Tools

  • Paints:
    -Brown
    -White
    -Yellow
    -Grey
  • Sculpey
  • 2" Dowel Rod

Step 1

First remove the Royal Guard's head by turning it sideways. Carefuly use an exacto knife to cut the neck post and remove the head. Then remove the red cloak of the figure.

Step 2

Then use the "Boil and Pop" method to remove both Darth Sidious and the Royal Guards arms.

Step 3

Next make sure Sidious' arms are still very soft, and then attatch them to the Royal Guards body.

Step 4

Now you can work on Yarael's head. Use the various references on this site as you guide. Use the 2" dowel as the figures neck and sculpt the head on top. Cover the dowel with sculpey to simulate the neck.

Step 5

Use either boiling water or a heat gun to harden the sculpey head.

Step 6

Once the head is complete, drill a hole in neck of the royal guard and install the dowel.

Step 7

Then after the head is installed securely, begin to sculpt Yarael's large collar. make sure to harden this sculpey when your finished.

Step 8

With this done you can now work on his hands. Cut off Sidious' hands and replace them with the violator's hands.

Step 9

With this complete you can now begin painting your masterpeice. Use a mix of browns to make the robe and a darker brown for his collar. You will have to mix several paints is order to get the right tones. This is also true for Yarael's head and hands. I used a mix of grey and white for the skin. However color matching is a matter of personal taste. Make sure to keep trying these basic colors until you find something that you are comfortable with.

Step 10

Use yellow paint to color his eyes.

Step 11

With painting complete, use spray sealant to finish the figure.

Step 12

Finally with painting complete, stand back and enjoy your figure.
