Step 1

Lets see, with this one I got my head in before the body so I will start with that... on mine I basically repainted the head from the nose down (I didn't like how the chin was a lot lighter)

Step 2

I did some modifying to the horns. On the custom they are light grey, like on the Don Post Studios mask, but in the scan they came out looking really white.

Step 3

Now on to the body... boy I had fun with this (stupid torso wouldn't come apart...) it is a Tatooine Maul body, because I think that the way the hands is looks 100% better than the way the other one.

Step 4

I added articulation to the gloves using straight pins. My Maul does come apart at the waist using magnets.

Step 5

Not hard at all, just take your Dremel and put a big old hole in the bottom of the torso, and stuff the magnet up there. Dremel the peg that usually fit into the torso down. (on the legs) Cut the skirt circle on top so the magnet can fit through and glue the second magnet there, I like this because I wanted him to stick together, and yet come apart fairly easily. Make sure you use
circle magnets so that his waist still twists

Step 6

Oh, and in the movie the shirt is black, so I kept it that way. (Even though on my Darth Maul costume I made it grey, but there just so it looked better). Lets see, oh the lightsaber... I cut the Tatooine Maul saber in half and painted the bottoms black to give it the singed look. And that's how you make a "Darn Near Ultimate" Darth Maul. And yes, I even put his earring on! (I could add knee joints... but with the plastic skirt I figured, why bother...)
