Step 1--Repositioning the arm
Cut the left forearm off at the elbow joint-it connects to the outside part of the joint.
|
|
Step 2
Rotate the arm 90 degrees so it looks like the pic, and glue it back onto the joint. If you cut close enough to the joint, the end of the arm should be like a square, and when you glue it back on repositioned, it's barely noticeable. Hold the glue job for about a minute, and then let it dry for about 10 minutes. Once it's dry, gently try and move the arm at the elbow joint to clear out any glue that may be in the joint.

Step 3--Painting the droid
You may or may not want to use the masking tape, depending on how good you are with a paint brush, but I recommend it. The acrylic enamel is a little runny, but more durable than regular acrylic. I used tiny pieces of masking tape to make the shapes I wanted to paint. Paint the droid as shown. (Note: It may be hard to see, but the security droid's antennae are red, and there is a red stripe on the droid's sides.)

Step 4
After the paint dries, you can add optional battle marks with a pencil if you so desire...
