Figure Supplies

  • Sabe
  • Mon Mothma (body)

Supplies and Tools

  • Sculpey
  • X-acto knife
  • Superglue
  • Paints:
    -Yellow
    -Orange
    -Yellow-orange
    -Orange-red
    -Red
    -Flesh
    -Brown
    -Pale pink

Step 1

Start by popping the heads off of both figures via boil-and-pop method. Cut off Sabe's headpiece.

Step 2

Cut off slivers of the back of Mon's cape wide enough to be the outer sleeves.

Step 3

Paint the sleeves on the Mon Mothma figure red. Attach the outer sleeves with super glue.

Step 4

Now paint the figure. This was surprisingly easy. Use yellow paint first and paint it from the bottom up. Use yellow-orange next. These two colors should cover 2/3 of the bottom half of the figure. Next use orange. This should cover the remaining 1/3 of the bottom of the
figure and half of the top of the figure. Paint the last half of the figure Orange-red. Paint the outer sleeves in the same pattern.

Step 5

Paint Sabe's face flesh color. Paint her lips pale pink. If you want to make her eyes more defined, then paint a thin line of brown where eyelashes would be. Stick Sabe's head onto the Mon Mothma body.

Step 6

Since the handmaidens wear two hoods in the movie, make sure you sculpt two separate hoods on the figure. The inner hood should come down to the
eyebrows. It should also come up like a turtleneck around the neck. The second hood, the outer hood, should come up to about where the hairline of the figure would be. It sound come around the front to what looks like folds in the cloth.

Step 7

Sculpt the sash onto the figure. Bake the figure.

Step 8

Paint the inner hood and the sash read and the outer hood orange red. You're done!
