Before you Begin
  • Queen Amidala always has at least two handmaidens at her sides, and up to six. On the Royal Naboo Cruiser, the handmaidens wore a yellow-to-orange hooded dress.
Step 1

Remove Palpatine's' heads. Take off the outer robes. They are not needed. Cut off his hands.

Step 2

Use Sculpey to alter the robes. Mainly sculpt that wide sash, but if you want to alter anything else, it's your custom, go ahead.

Step 3

Dremel out Palpatine's' faces. you should have a hood with no face or neck peg.
Just an empty hood.

Step 4

Glue the Padme and/or generic hands onto the Palpatine's bodies. Put the female heads on next.

Step 5

For one of the Padme's, paint her with blond hair and blue eyes. Glue the empty hoods onto the figures' shoulders.

Step 6

Now the hard part. You have to paint the dresses so they start as yellow at the bottom and fade into orange at the top. Try painting the lower body yellow, the midsection yellow-orange, and the top orange, and try to mix the paints so it looks like a natural progression from yellow to orange.

If done right, you should now have 6, count them 6 brand new customs for your collection. Be proud of yourself, now get started on your next custom :)
