Figure Supplies

  • Slave Leia torso and loincloth
  • Rystall (Jabba's Dancer) Head and arms
  • Weequay legs

Supplies and Tools

  • Modelling knife/scapel
  • Modelling paints
  • Glue/superglue
  • Sandpaper, file or emery board
  • Modelling putty

Step 1

Remove and put all the parts together from the various figures via the Boil'n'Pop technique, i.e. dunk them in boiling water. Some pieces like the legs will need a little trimming to get the join angles right.

Step 2

Trim the "saddlebags" from Weequay's legs using a knife and/or sandpaper/file.

Step 3

Trim the horns off Rystall's head using knife and/or sandpaper/file. (*optional)

Step 4

Remove Rystall's hair from her head using boiling water. This is quite tricky, they have used tough glue. (*optional)

Step 5

Reposition the hair further back on her head so that she has a "higher" forehead. (*optional)

Step 6

Patch up the divot left in her forehead from where the hair used to be, with a little putty.

Step 7

Trim the "kid gloves" from Rystall's arms using a knife and/or sandpaper/file. Leave some around her wrist for a bangle if you want.

Step 8

Cut a thin wedge out of Rystall's left arm (her left not yours!) and then glue the resulting gap together so that her arm rests more snug to her body.

Step 9

Cut both feet off and trim them so that when re-glued she can actually stand up!

Step 10

Cut the decorative "sporran" off Slave Leia's loincloth and glue it to the torso's waist. I should really have moulded something out of putty, but I was lazy

Step 11

Paint all the skin areas with an appropriate flesh colour, I chose a light olive skin tone.

Step 12

Paint her hair blue and give it a thin wash of purple when dry. You can cheat a little by wiping the purple off the raised areas, giving it a sense of depth. They did this with Rystall by the way.

Step 13

Paint her metal bikini top, groin section and "sporran", brown.

Step 14

Paint her leggings pink. I mixed pink and silver paint to give it a shiny silk look.

Step 15

Paint in the little choker around her neck, bangle on the hand(s), eyebrows and lipstick. (*optional)

Step 16

Paint in a little nose stud... I don't know if she actually has one, but if she doesn't she ought to! :)

Step 17

Get started customising Aurra Sing with the left over pieces (see my Aurra Sing recipe).
