Before you Begin
Reference photos from the Episode I Visual Dictionary and the TPM DVD. I decided not to use arms for this figure since Amidala's arms are hidden beneath the cloak in most reference pictures.

Step 1

Using the boil-and-pop method, switch Padme's head onto Leia's body. Pull Padme's hair off. Using an x-acto knife, remove Leia's necklace. Pull off Leia's skirt, belt, and cloak. Also, remove Leia's arms. (This is explained in the "Before You Begin" section of this recipe).

Step 2

Sculpt a new skirt onto the figure. Bake the figure.

Step 3

Sculpt a mockup cape onto the figure. It doesn't have to be pretty, the petals will hide any imperfections. Also, sculpt the fan Amidala wears on the back of her cape. I secured it with the tip of a toothpick. Bake the figure.

Step 4

Carefully attach the petals to the mockup cape. Bake the figure again.

Step 5

Finally, sculpt the large tie and hairdo onto the figure. Bake.

Step 6

Paint Amidala's dress, tie, and fan white. When that's dry, cover it with a thin layer of the iridescent white paint. Next, cover the cape in white paint. Use pale pink and pale yellow
for the petals. When that's dry, cover that also in iridescent white paint.

Step 7

Now for the detailing. Paint Amidala's hair brown. Use pale pink for her shoes, and pale yellow for the emblems on the tie. Paint the red dots on Amidala's face and the "scar of remembrance"
on her lips. Use silver for Amidala's jewelry and the detailing on her fan. You're done!
