Before You Begin
Reference pictures from the TPM DVD and Visual Dictionary.

Step 1

Using an x-acto knife, cut the hairdo off of Sabe's head,
and the pegs off of Leia's lower arms. Also use the x-acto knife to cut the peg off of Theed Amidala's neck and the shave down the "bell" on the front of the dress. Use the drill bit of your dremel to drill a hole in the neck of the Theed Amidala so Battle Sabe's head will fit.

Step 2

Sculpt the innermost skirt onto the figure. Detail it with an x-acto knife.

Step 3

Sculpt the second skirt onto the figure.

Step 4

Sculpt the outer skirt onto the figure. Bake.

Step 5

Sculpt the multiple layers of cloth around the neck onto the torso of the figure.

Step 6

Sculpt the wide belt. Detail it with a toothpick. Bake

Step 7

Sculpt on the "penguin" sleeves. Make sure to sculpt Leia's lower arms into the sleeves. Bake again.

Step 8

Sculpt the hairdo onto the figure. Use separated strands of embroidery floss for the "suspensas" in the front and detail the cap with a toothpick. Intertwine long strips of clay and attach them to the back of the head. These will be Amidala's
braids. Use strings of seed beads rather than embroidery floss for the "suspensas" in the back. Bake a final time.

Step 9

Paint the dress (minus the innermost skirt and belt) light grey. Also use it for the beaded part of the headdress. Paint Amidala's hair brown.

Step 10

Use tan for the belt. Also use it to detail the middle skirt and
sleeves. Paint the innermost skirt and innermost layer of clay at the neck maroon. Paint the silver band into Amidala's
fan headdress and paint the ear pieces gold.

Step 11

Mix the translucent white paint with a little bit of red and grey. Lightly brush that mixture onto the outermost dress. This will give it the sheen of the original costume. When that's dry, dot tan paint onto the sleeves with a toothpick for the embroidery. Paint silver into the middle of
the gold ear pieces.

You're done!
