.

Step 1

Pull the head off your Jabba Glob. With sculpey, make a large ring around the part where you just pulled the head off.

Step 2

Place the head back on placing it to the side like he is in ROTJ, pushing down so it fits properly. The other reason you did this besides to turn it around was to make the head sit up higher on his body.

Step 3

Add sculpey to the face, neck, and stomach area, and start to sculpt. Use as many different references from different angles, there is a ton of stuff out there that have photos of Jabba, I used the "Star Wars Visual Dictionary" as a main focal point. Add more folds to the neck area, build up the chin and eyebrows a bit. Adding sculpey to the head may be a little tricky as the head is squishy, just be patient and wait until you are pleased with the results. Add all of the little warts and wrinkles to the flesh, and try and match it up where sculpey meets plastic. Cure the sculpey.

Step 4

Now you must paint. The Hasbro version was all green, if you look at photos of Jabba in ROTJ, he has different browns, fleshtones, reds, as well as greens in his skin, so go ahead and experiment with the colors. Make sure you paint the eyes a solid red and then do the black cat eye slits that he has.

Step 5

Cover the entire figure in a matte sealer, give his eyes and perhaps around his mouth a gloss coat.

Step 6

Place him on his dais when he is done, now he's ready to feed smugglers who drop their loads at the first sign of a Star Destroyer to his Rancor.
