Before you begin:

• Geranian hunter and gambler turned trader, Sgt. Doallyn is one of Jabba's goons. He is the guy who Chewbacca knocked over when he was brought in by Leia in disguise. He is REALLY hard to make out, but you can see some details. Doallyn was hired by Jabba to hunt down a Krayt Dragon so it could battle Jabba's Rancor. Doallyn owed Jabba a debt, and Jabba kept him around by taunting him with the gas cartridges Doallyn needs to breathe. In TALES FROM JABBA'S PALACE, Doallyn helps Yarna escape Jabba's Palace and rescue her children. Along the way, he fights and kills a Krayt Dragon, but it is Yarna who has to save him. The couple eventually become space traders.

NOTE:

This figure presented something of a challenge. I liked the character in the story, but I could only find a single picture of him! While he is in the movie, he is in such deep shadows it is nearly impossible to make out any details. The picture I found only shows his helmet, and even worse, there is at least one other character who wears a similar helmet. Determined to make this custom, I called upon my fellow members of the Forgotten Force. I got quite a response, and several members sent me THEIR versions of Doallyn.

Step 1

From most reports, it seems Doallyn wore an all-black outfit. Well, I had the helmet, but I didn't want to make him ALL black. I wanted to do something a bit different. I grabbed the spare parts I wanted, and set about deciding the best way to make this figure.

Step 2

I used the Biggs arms because the one arm has these cylinders built in, which could represent the gas cartridges the story mentioned.

Step 3

The Luke Dagobah chest could resemble armor, while the rest would be a variation of the Skiff Guards.

Step 4

In the story, Doallyn wears a burnoose--an Arabian-type of cloak--so, I thought it would be different to add that. I cut Leia's skirt to not only have a cape, but also a scarf-type of front covering.

Step 5

I also added some non-cured sculpy on his leg and back, so he could "holster" his weapons.

Step 6

His helmet is also removeable, so you can see his huge scar on his face!
