Step 1
First, boil some water. (Don't burn yourself!), and use the "boil-and-pop" method to remove the heads from both Leia figures. |
Step 2
Find a way to trim down the neck post on the Bespin Leia head. It's too long as is. Personally, I cut the the neck peg off, cut about 1/3 of it off, and reglued it on. After that set, I cut down the lip on the peg a bit to allow it to be easily inserted into the Hoth Leia body. |
Step 3
Paint the blue boots with the white paint. I know some other customs used the legs from Bespin Leia, but I was happy with the way the boots look repainted-I don't think it's very noticable.
Step 4
Paint the hands tan so they look flesh-like. Try and match them to the color of the head's skin if possible. This may require some mixing of paints. The straight tan looks pretty good, though. |
NOTE:
The following steps are optional, and only necessary if you wish the figure to hold her weapon with both hands. |
Step 5
Cut off her right arm where the elbow would bend. Using the Sculpey, "sculpt" a suitable elbow around the forearm and attached arm so that the arm is positioned as shown in the pic.
Step 6
Boil some water, and use a kitchen tools to submerge the figure's arm only. There's no need for the whole figure to be submerged. About 4-5 minutes should harden up the Sculpey.
Step 7
If the Sculpy does not match the body, paint it white to match. |
Step 8
Cut off her left hand at the wrist. Using the Krazy Glue, reposition it so that the muzzle of the blaster will rest in it as shown. |
Step 9
Let it all dry and you're done.
