Step 1
Place the figure into boiling water for approximately 45 seconds. Carefully remove it, and quickly push both arms against the figure's chest so it appears to be "folding" its arms. Quickly submerge the figure into the ice water WHILE holding the arms in place. Hold it in the water for about a minute and then let go and let it sit in the water for a while. This basically cools the plastic after you've reshaped it. Keep in mind the arms may flex back a bit, but this is OK. |
|
Step 2
After giving the figure about an hour or more to do all of its "flexing", we're ready to cut where we need to cut. I did this 18 times, and I found that it works best when you cut just below where the white shoulder armor meets the black elbow part. You shouldn't have to turn
the arm that much-use the pic for reference. Once you have a feel for how the arm should be positioned, glue it on and hold it tight for about a minute. |
|
Step 3
Cut the left hand off at the wrist. Again this is a judgment call, try and cut it flush with the forearm armor so it will glue back on without a tilt. You'll need to rotate the hand 90 degrees so that the palm is facing up. Glue it and hold it for 60 seconds. Then let the figure
dry for another 10 minutes so the glue sets. |
|
Step 4
Carefully give the trooper his weapon-you'll have to bend the fingers open a little ont he left hand so it holds the blaster muzzle right. Enjoy! |
