Supplies and Tools

  • Paints (Testors):
    -Flat white
    -Silver
    -Orange
    -Tan
  • Matte/satin black spray paint
  • Clear gloss spray paint

Before you begin:

  • Use the Hasbro 4"toy for reference, but also use the Force File and other good reference photo's, because the toy is not 100% accurate!

Step 1

Spray entire droid matt or satin black. This may take several small coats. Hit any light or missed areas with brush. It covers easier than gloss black, plus were going to clrear coat it for the last step.

Step 2

Paint orange custom color using 4" Hasbro version for reference. (The Force File shows R2-Q5's right "cheek" to be painted orange also, unlike the toy.)

Step 3

Spray entire droid with high gloss clear coat.
