Contest Rules for the DEADLINE Targets Casting Call

What is DEADLINE?
For a few months now, I've been hinting at this secret DEADLINE project...and a few of you have written in asking me just what the heck is it?

A fan-fiction project I created almost 10 years ago, DEADLINE is a team of intergalactic bounty hunters that patrol the galaxy serving justice for those that can afford it. Originally conceived as a comic book series, it will soon become a series of customized action figures starring in their own photonovels! These stories will be set firmly in the STAR WARS Universe, a true Fan-Fiction effort, so you never know who will be stopping by for a cameo appearance!

The DEADLINE Contest
This is where you will come in...since DEADLINE will be hunting down the scum of the universe, their targets will be many. So I'm looking for some new bad guys! This is also your chance to have your custom featured in an upcoming chapter of DEADLINE!

I'm looking for ORIGINAL DESIGNS of your Fan-Fiction villains. Your custom could be anything, anyone, it's up to you! Simply make your character and send it in. All submissions will be posted in September's Casting Call. Once all submissions are collected, a team of judges will pick out a winner. The winner will have his/her custom featured as the "Boss Villain" of the first storyline, and will win fabulous prizes!

Who can enter the contest?
In order to make this fair to customizers and non-customizers alike, there will be two categories for submissions. Anyone can enter either category, and may enter as many characters as they like. Multiple entries are encouraged!

Category 1 This category is for customizers that wish to send in their characters for the contest. You may enter as many characters that you wish, but each submission must be unique. All images should be: .JPG format Maximum 600 pixels in size Compression rate of 5 or 6 Since each character will be digitally added to the photonovels, at least 4 images of each character will be required (A front view, back view, side view, and an "action pose"). You can send in more than four, but this should suffice. I also reserve the right to ask for additional images as needed :) (If you are uncertain what I mean, I've included an example below.)

Category 2 This category is for non-customizers that wish to send in their characters for the contest. You may enter as many characters that you wish, but each submission must be unique. You can enter the contest the following ways: Create an original drawing of your character. Try to include as many details as possible, including weapons, costume details, and distinguishing features. Color and black & white illustrations will be accepted. Write a detailed description of your character. Make it as descriptive as possible, but make sure to focus more on the visual look of the character, and not the history. All drawings should follow the image guidelines described in Category 1.

What are the prizes?
There will be two different prizes given out, one for each category.

Category 1 Prize:
In addition to having your custom featured in the first storyline of the DEADLINE saga, you will also win a 12" Captain Tarpals with Kaadu boxed set, courtesy of Artoosnews.com!

Category 2 Prize:
In addition to having your custom featured in the second storyline of the DEADLINE saga, you will also win a customized figure of your design created by me!
In addition, I'll also throw in a Rebel Pilots Cinema Scene, courtesy of..well, me.

How can I enter?

To enter the contest, simply send your submission to me. Please specify which category you are entering,although I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out :)
