The Secret Apprentice Casting Call Announced
It worked so well the first time, we're doing it again. The great people who are a part of the FForums are spearheading our next Casting Call - this time we're covering Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice from the video game The Force Unleashed. The unique spin for this Casting Call will be the various outfits that the Secret Apprentice wears throughout the game, novel, and other multimedia tie-ins. By checking out the dedicated FForums thread, you can not only see all of the discussion that is taking place regarding everyone's work, but also see reference visuals to help you decide which version of the Secret Apprentice you want to make. The deadline is July 31st, so there's plenty of time to get involved with the newest Casting Call.

Thanks once again to Don and Paul for running the show in the FForums and to everyone else for their participation as we try to re-kindle the spark in the Casting Calls.

FFURG on FFacebook
A while back, Ashley put together a Facebook presence for FFURG and the Forgotten Force. For the most part the FFacebook entry for FFURG went unused, but recently it's been getting some usage and so now is the perfect time to make mention of it once again. Check out FFURG on Facebook today and become our friend.

Team Pride Casting Call Gets A Championship Update!
We're back with a new Casting Call update this week thanks to Sal Attinello. Sal has sent in three customs (including carded shots) representing the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers for the Team Pride Casting Call. One wouldn't know it but these are some of Sal's first attempts at customizing and he made mention in his correspondence to thank all of us at FFURG for providing the help and insight to lead fans down the path of customizing. Well to that I say THANK YOU Sal and everyone else for being a part of the Forgotten Force as it's you who keep things going here.

We'll be back next week with more Casting Call updates - and don't forget to check out the FForums 5th Anniversary Casting Call Thread to join on the fun for the next event.

25th Anniversary Vintage Casting Call Updated
As we near the 32nd Anniversary of a little movie called Star Wars, FForums member TyKrazen has updated us with new entries to the Star Wars: A NEW HOPE 25th Anniversary Casting Call. Originally debuting in a dedicated FForums Thread, Ty ambitiously sought out the answer to the question of "what if there was a 3rd SW Wave by Kenner?" Spanning an additional 8 figures from the movie that started it all including their own custom cardbacks as well as a new vehicle, Ty's customs started a wave of custom nostalgia on the FForums which continues to this day.

Many thanks to TyKrazen for his take on "what could have been" with this Casting Call update. There will be more updates in the coming weeks so if you'd like to submit an entry into one of the many Casting Calls, check out our Submissions Page.

FFURG Representin' At The Motor City Comic-Con
Sort of... I'm taking the time to do a quick little plug here as I'll be attending the Motor City Comic-Con this coming weekend (May 15th thru 17th) in Detroit helping my buddy Johngy cover the event for his blog as well as Global Traveler magazine. So if you see me - a red-hair bearded menace wearing a bright green FFURG C3 shirt - yucking it up with Mick Foley, headbanging with Dave Ellefson, or stalking Carrie Fisher, say hello!

Legacy Casting Call Has Been Update.
As promised we're back with another Casting Call update as this time Michael Moreno has sent in practically every main character from the Legacy comic series to update the Legacy Casting Call. Thirteen of Michael's latest and greatest customs are up for viewing in this Casting Call with more updates to come soon.

Many thanks to Michael for his most recent submission to the site. If you want to be "Like Mike" and submit an entry into one of the many Casting Calls, check out our Submissions Page.

Casting Call Updates Return to FFURG!
Well it has been an insanely busy past 6+ months for me and I've neglected to update the site with the various Casting Call submissions I've received during that time. My apologies to everyone who took the time to submit their customs to FFURG, you weren't being ignored - not intentionally anyways - and I'd like to thank you all for your patience and submissions during this period. Now it's time to make it up to everyone by going through the backlog of submissions we do have and I'm starting it off with an old friend of FFURG, Don Maue.

Don was one of the early members to the original Forgotten Force listserv and his custom work was the inspiration for many people including myself. Since his active return to the community, Don has helped to inspire a new generation of customizers through his insight and conversation on the FForums. Today we spotlight Don's submissions in the Original Clonetroopers Casting Call and it's sequel The Return of the Clonetroopers

In the coming weeks we'll be posting more submissions from all of the talented customizers who have taken the time to share their work with us. But in the meantime if you want to submit an entry into one of the many Casting Calls, check out our Submissions Page.

Huge Casting Call Update!
When I said we'll be back next weekend with a new Casting Call update, I really meant we'll be back in 4 months. :) After several delays, we are indeed back with all new submissions to 8 Casting Calls:

Schuyler Morisette contributes with customs for the Mara Jade, Solo Kids, Jedi Knight Video Game, Arena Battle Jedi, Luke Skywalker, Masters & Apprentice, and The Dark Side Casting Calls. It's not just a Schuyler-centric update though as Michael Moreno and Tykrazen have also contributed updates for our latest Casting Call LEGACY!.

A big thanks to all three of these guys for providing this update. We WILL be back with another update soon, but in the meantime if you want to submit an entry into one of the many Casting Calls, check out our Submissions Page.

Legacy Casting Call Debuts
After a slight delay due to personal issues on my part, we're back with the debut of the Legacy Casting Call. Over a hundred years after Luke Skywalker saved the galaxy, his bloodline is once again in the middle of a galactic wide struggle for power as well an eternal battle between the light and dark sides of the Force. Now FFURG is proud to present a new Casting Call displaying the action figure based representations of these characters from some of the finest customizers around.

Have a look at the newest Casting Call for inspiration to submit your own customs and join in on the FForums Discussion regarding Legacy. Many thanks to the customizers who submitted their work for this slightly late debut. We'll be back next weekend with an update to a few of our older Casting Calls so stay tuned.

Battlefront Casting Call Debuts!
A little late here, but I got so wrapped up in the Toy Fair coverage from around the net (check out the coverage our friends to the left are having) that I forgot to post that the Battlefront Casting Call has gone live! We have over 30 great customs from the Battlefront video game series to share with everyone today. So make sure to check out all the trooper goodness and make sure to check back later tonight for the announcement of the next Casting Call. Here's a hint - it goes hand and hand with some of the new toys Hasbro displayed this weekend at Toy Fair. :)

Two Casting Calls Updated
As promised we've returned with two new Casting Calls updates here at FFURG thanks to Rob Guy and James "TonPhanan" from the FForums. Rob has passed on a Spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi custom for the Masters & Apprentice CC while James has submitted an entry to the Talon Karrde CC. A big thanks to Rob and James for their submissions. Don't forget that the Battlefront Casting Call Debut Deadline is this Friday!

New Casting Call Annoucement - Battlefront!
We're announcing a new Casting Call straight from the FForums. Following Hasbro's move to make figures from this super fun series of games, FFURG presents the Battlefront Casting Call! Now normally, we give a few weeks for customizers to submit their work for the debut of a Casting Call, but this time around we're only giving a week's time. That's right, the Battlefront Casting Call debut deadline is next Friday, February 15th with the debut itself the next day. Why you may ask? Well this Casting Call is just an appetizer for the announcement of the next Casting Call on Saturday the 16th. Here's a hint, it's a Casting Call everyone has been asking us to have and we've listened. :)

To submit your entries to the Battlefront Casting Call head on over to the Submissions Page. And to discuss what possible Casting Call we could come up with next, check out this FForums Discussion.

Casting Call Holiday Special
Normally the term "Holiday Special" is taboo in the Star Wars universe, but not here at FFURG. Santa Yoda has climbed down our chimney to spread the gift of customizing to all corners of the Republic. The Yuletide Master has brought us updates to NINE Casting Calls from four grand customizers - Paul Barnard, Schuyler Morissette, Thomas Riedel, and James "TonPhanan". So check out the following Casting Call Updates and pray that Santa Yoda didn't leave carbonite in your stocking this year:

Many thanks to Paul, Schuyler, Thomas, and James for providing this "Holiday Special" update. Remember if you want to submit an entry into one of the many Casting Calls, check out our Submissions Page.
