Zap-a-gap can often be found at local hobby stores, craft stores and sometimes Wal-Mart.
Thin and clear, it can dry to a hazy white if too much is used or if it does not like the surfaces you are applying the glue to. Don't worry though, it wont effect its adhesive properties. It takes paint remarkable well and can be sanded down if need be.
It is perhaps the strongest glue that I’ve ever used. It adheres to just about anything, usually within a matter of seconds. It can bond two smooth surfaces rather well but, of coarse, the rougher the surface, the stronger the bond will be. One of the things to remember about this glue is that a little goes a long way….use only a few drops at a time.
Clean up isn’t as easy as fabric glue. If you get it on something that you don't want it on, it’s pretty much there to stay unless you can sand it off. Solvents won't work. If you get it on your fingers, and you will, use a light grit sandpaper to gently sand off the bulk of it. After a few hours the oils from you skin will cause to remaining glue to dissipate.
