Back in September '10 a fellow Mousedroid member asked if I could make a diorama based on the SW:TOR "Deceived" trailer for him. This is what I came up with:

Jedi Master Ven Zallow:

Darth Malgus:

"Deceived" diorama:

More pics, as well as WIP pics, in the album.

This was my entry for the ISY.net tribute to Karen Traviss contest. What we had to do, was make a diorama of a scene of one of the four Republic Commando novels. I'm a huge fan of those books and there are many excellent events to immortalize in customized form.

What I really like about the novels, is how Karen explores the human in the clone. They're not just copies of Jango, bred for the sole purpose of fighting and dying for the Republic. They're just as human as any other, perhaps even more so. Karen envisions the hardship of the training regime on Kamino really well and how that effected the beloved characters.

The capture of Ko Sai in True Colors (pages 285 and 286) was a highlight for me and I immediately picked that event to make a diorama of.

Key characters are Kal Skirata, Mereel and Ko Sai of course. She was hiding in some underwater lab, guarded by Mandalorian bodyguards. My diorama shows Kal and Mereel in her office, Mereel revealing himself to a shocked Ko Sai.

Pictures of Kal Skirata and what his armour looks like are abound, however less so of his boys. I asked around a bit and some guys felt green was a pretty good choice of colour for Mereel's armour. Ko Sai was easy to make of a Lama Su (or Taun We?) figure. I even got her to sit her aiwha bait shebs down biggrin.gif

Anyway, enough talk, here are the pics:

I actually won 2nd prize, by the way! Here are all the entries together: http://www.imperialshipyards.net/nycc/cc2010index.html

Clearer pictures of Kal en Mereel can be found in my Customs Thread.

This one's been on the backburner for quite some time, but I've picked it up again. Work on my A-Wing, TIE dio, Last Droid Standing dio and what not contnues as well. Let's just say I'm on a custom streak again thumbup.gif

Let's just say these are pre-production shots of what will eventually be some sort of Speeder Bike chase. Maybe the RotJ scene with Luke and Leia, maybe just something similar, who knows.

Anyway, first I wanted to update and upgrade ye ol' Speeder Bike mold. I cut out the inner plastics on the outriggers and replaced the steering vanes with ones made from .5mm styrene. Here's the first complete set:

The top vanes slant forward too much, I'll correct that later on. The bottom vanes appear to be positioned correctly, judging from my GG Speeder Bike statue.

Further modifications will include the seats, pedals and handlebars on the bikes.

LMK what you think!

I'm looking for a Scout Walker (Kenner, Hasbro, doesn't matter) which can be in rough shape, suffers from heavy playwear, incomplete, etc. As long as the legs and base are intact. Hope someone has one for cheap rolleyes.gif

Since I used Scarlett's head for my second custom of my daughter, I had a Scarlett body just lying around. I came up with an idea of making a female Jedi out of that and pretty soon the idea for this mini dio came about.

The idea is that this female Jedi has just sliced a SBD, which is only seconds away from losing his top half from his lower half wink.gif

It's very WIP of course, but the SBD is done, safe for some blaster marks and dirt, now I'll need to retool Scarlett. Won't be too hard, just a bit of Fixit on her upper body and finding a decent female head (any suggestions??)
