Recently here in my area, we had some flash flooding...

Nothing terribly serious for me, but the crick (creek, but we here pronounce creek as "crick", so just bare with me on that please) here flooded in a MAJOR way for the first time since I was approximately 3...

We had no damage, but my girlfriend's house is also near a crick which flooded much worse. She needed to evacuate. Real mess for the people n the low end of her road.

Anyway, I was tromping through our crick tearing down our bridge across it, which now was moved about 6 feet down stream and off all its settings... We're scrapping it, but as I was tromping about, I realized the environment I have is ripe for custom dioramas.

Tons of bricks, scrapped metal from the old coal mines near by, etc., etc...

Some real good items I could set up, and all around running water, for some impressive looking "other worlds" if I had a camera.

Don't discount your local area (if you're in the booonies like me) for good image opportunities. Your back yard may look like a world from a galaxy far far away, and you never even knew it!

my favorie thing is when RED paint gets splattered on my x-acto blade.

Why do SO many people not know how to type or use their brain as a spell-check?

I threw some of my clones out front of my house in my garden area and voila!

QUOTE (Delaton @ Oct 1 2005, 06:13 AM)
What did the neighbors think?

Some drove by as I was setting them up camera in hand...they probably wondered what was so important that I had to take a picture of it in the garden....if they only knew it was something important! tongue.gif

Thanks

Dre

I have been meaning to post these in this thread for a while.
Here are some pics I took back in April of last year.

The large lava rocks are in my front yard, and the long grass was in my back yard. I have more of these kind of pics smile.gif
