I love checking out sme of the G.I. Joe customs out there in the world.

www.YoJoeCustoms.com is one of my favored sites to just see what's out there and I know Burn (Apokolips) from GalacticHunter.com frequently posts stuff as he repaints/resculpts/fixes up new Hasbro figures or makes his own.

There's these 2 neat sites of casts for G.I. Joe customizers I've seen too...

http://www.geocities.com/robopredator/ (Softgoods coats and stuff, though his site may be down?)

http://www.build-a-rama.com/ (Diorama essentials like cans, boxes, etc.)

Hmmm

I have seen 2 separate sites that make casts of heads, helmets, weapons, and backpacks (evne legs I think) for figures but can't find them now.

They had like hollowed out snowserpent helmets, and cobra soldier helmets... REALLY cool site, but damned if I can't find ANYTHING on it now. Anyone know these?

Wow, those are pretty nice. I wouldn't have expected some of the color schemes to work, but I'll be darned if those are some good colors after all! I especially like the last 3.

But here is my custom Alley Viper

You can see my COBRA Collection here, I have a lot of CG's, VIPERs,
and a lot of rare Dreadnok SEARS stuff there.

That's a cool alley viper. I like how the helmet shield goes up and down. You did a good paint job on this guy. Do you have any pictures of the figure before you painted it? Just to see how beat up it was?

This is just a regular 1989 Alleyviper

I have 2 newer ones, I did this years ago, now there are better paints you can buy that have very minimal paint chipping when you move them. I got lucky with this one.

heres my Crimson Guard army :-)

This is probably the site your talking about: http://www.jandrproductions.com/index.php?page=main
Unfortunately they recently received a cease, and desist order from hasbro. The order had mostly to do with J&R useing trademarked names of characters to sell a bootleg product. Too bad.

That was pretty sad about J&R. From what I hear they put out some quality products. I was always 'just about' to order from them but never did. Don't I regret that!

Added a Doc in greens to my page.

Just figured khaki's are fine for kicking it in the infirmary or at Walter Reed, but not too good for the battle field.

3 New Joes, all based off the new comic packs of classic characters.

The one omission, Breaker. Took the Snake-eyes arctic suit and a classic breaker head.

Clutch. Swapped arms with Steeler to make him look slimmer. They have the same torso believe it or not.

Steeler. Made him "bigger" mostly more muscled arms of the Clutch figure. Gives him the tank jockey look too. The helmet visor has silver enamel paint on it.

Cool figures man.

I want to get some of the new packs myself, especially Steeler since he was a favorite of my brother and me because he came from Pittsburgh. I've not run into the new 3-packs though much. Hell, running into the OLD 3-packs is tough except for the Snake Eyes one, and the Cobra one. The one with the 3 Joes though is a rarity. sad.gif

If I could find them on sale (Target's always selling these for $8 and change) I'd like to get each set just for the figures to counter the one Cobra 6-pack I got.

I've found all my 3 packs at Target (ironically). The hard part is "re-arming" them with sufficient weaponry from the Elite Force Weapons packs I've been buying...But Zap looks censored.gif censored.gif cool with the various rocket launchers. Course, here they all are to date (minus Kwinn and Dojo Scarlet) with classic vehicles.

Here's Duke in the "missing" years between the Marvel and Devil's Due Comic series. Went to work for some clandestine service doing wet work. It doesn't show, but there is a slight dark red around the bottoms of his boots from the blood.

One more before I hit the holiday road (well 4 actually)

It was originally a Python Patrol Viper from the VvV wave but I repainted it to the "classic" '86 Viper colors. I did keep the "criss-crossed" patterns in a few places, but for the most part it's Dark Blue, Silver, Black, and Insignia Red.

There's all four of them

http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/images/vipe...r12_large.shtml Figure that was repainted

Grunt (done right). I took Grunt's head, chopped off the "ball" peg and chopped off a spare snake eyes "straight" peg and glued together. This is the Zap body, so it was all done with parts from the same 3-pack.

Definitely an improved Grunt. Considering Hasbro's version of this guy... Yech!

Nice seeing him in the classic green shirt and NORMAL body. I'm intrigued to see him
leading the green shirt reinforcements into battle! That's about all Grunt ever did
anyway it always seemed. smile.gif

Someone had to lead the knuckleheads I guess.
