I've got an art show coming up in August, and on top of my original work, I wanted to have some fun to, so I started painting vintage Star Wars figures, and giving them weird names. These are 8" x 10", acrylic on canvas. I am going for the vintage card back photo look, some poses are the same, and some I did different because I didn't care for the pose in the original. Anyway, just figured you'd like to see them.

Wing Man

Unitard Land Shark

Tuck Face (Butt Face)

Han's Best Friend

The Gonk Show

Snag Man

Repo Man

Imperial Figure Skating Competition

The Can Man Can

Flying Lizard

More are in the works... I hope you enjoy them. -Pete

Well, I've created some more figure paintings, I hope to have two more done by this weekends art fair we're having in Detroit (the Bizarre Bazaar at Theatre Bizarre).

You earn a billion cool points in my book for the reference. (For the Army of Darkness reference too!)

I love your paintings. They make me miss my childhood. At least the good part, before the dark times. Before the empire...before my dad got remarried and my life went to hell.

Ha! I got a good chuckle from that title. Keep these coming. I like your paintings of the vintage figures better than the actual figures themselves. blink.gif Weird huh?

Exceptional. You've really capture the figure likenesses and displayed them perfectly. Also the names are creative and hilarious.
I cant wait to see the POTF2 "HeMan Luke" series.
