Excerpt from field report filed by Galactic Intelligence: Joint Operations Elite aquatic mission specialist Deep Six:

It's becoming obvious to me that the situation here on Aquos is deteriorating rapidly. A massive increase in the number and ferocity of pirate attacks was just the beginning as reports of yet another mysterious sinking of a cruise liner is being attributed to the mythical "Kraken". I have been forced to call in some back up in the form of a trio of New Republic Aqua Troopers that were waiting in orbit for my signal.

Each of the Aqua Troopers in an effective commando both above and below the waves, trained in all manner of weapons, electronics and explosives. Each trooper carries an assortment of magnetic mines armed with fusion cores on armbands worn on each bicep as well as a new M.A.R.S. "Aquablast" dual environment blaster capable of being used both in water and air with equal effectiveness (a stolen shipment of these weapons just arrived here on Aquos a few days ago, I am still trying to find their source for cutting edge New Republic tech) and a deadly vibroknife. Due to the fact that they are not truly amphibious like myself, they were rebreather packs that automatically filter usable oxygen from the seawater as well as recycling oxygen from their exhalations giving them an unlimited supply of breathable air while submerged.

Despite the fact that I prefer to work alone, these three will be a great help as my investigation continues...
