All,

I work for a private security company and am good friends with the owner. He likes my work and asked if I would make a custom squad car (just like the ones we drive each night) and two figures to go with it. He wants to give them to his kids as a Christmas gift, so I have until sometime before then to get it done. I found the car, but I still need two Police Officer figures for this project and I'm not having any luck tracking them down. They need to be regular uniformed officers, not SWAT guys or anything like that. Any ideas? If you already have something like this on hand, let me know and I'd happily buy or trade for them. Thanks!

Sometimes I find Chap Mei makes some sort of police figures and I usually see them at K-Mart (may want to shower after entering/not bring the kiddies) or Big Lots. bbi used to make a Police Line, but they'd be going huge on the secondary market now. Law from the GI joe line had a badge on his torso. Also, the 25th Mutt seems to have the same badge.

I'm leaning toward something from Chap Mei or a similar company.

Unfortunately, there are no K-Marts or Big Lots within 60 miles of my house. I used to find some good stuff at Big Lots...

Don, I have a single one of the Chap-Mei police figures, but he's wearing a baclava (sp?) and has night vision goggles over that. I have some loose PTE soldiers and I can swap the heads for a more "regular" cop. Lemme know if you want him. He's yours free of course.

Gene, that sounds great! Before you ship him, can you show me a pic of the figure? A link to any photo of him would suffice. I just don't want you to waste the money shipping it, if it won't work for my needs.

You would think that it would be easier to find a plain old police figure, wouldn't you?

It's this guy. I don't have the big ridiculous gun though.

Ya know, I think the Lanard "The Corps!" line had some plain uniformed police figures a few years back. They were built in the ARAH style.

Ash, those are PERFECT! Especially the two with the hats! We wear very similar hats, so those would be sweet. I'd also want the headless guy with no tactical vest (as a back-up in case I screw up one of the other two). I'll take a look at your trade list to see if I have anything for you.
