James actually posted the higher res images. headbanging2.gif

thumbup.gif headbanging2.gif Yep. And nice use of it for the icon Corran.

Corrected headbanging2.gif

Of all the pics you both showed, the one I went with is the least describable I think for the Secret Apprentice, but it looked so cool. thumbup.gif

HEAVY TRAINING COSTUME COMPLETE.

The bulky part across the face does bug me a bit, but with the way it sits it can be pulled down to show the entire face so it's not a bad trade.

Next I will be working on the Bounty Hunter costume. Also going to try Sith Robes and Kento robes.

I have an idea, but anyone wanting the Raxus Prime Survival gear, the lower mask of the Saga Collection Darth Vader (the 2 piece removable helmet with Sebastian Shaw under it), could make the breathing apparatus. Saw this potential when taking apart that figure to make the Sith Robes character.

Sith Robes

The head is slightly different on this costume on the wii than the other outfits. It is one reason I like it. I decided to go with the dirty/damaged face look because this Hanibal head was Talon Karrde custom once upon a time, that I reclaimed. I think the damage serves as a morality tale on the dangers of the Dark Side. For the most part this figure is made from a Saga/BAD Darth Vader with Xizor's skirt and Tatooine Darth Maul robes added. The belt I believe is Obi-Wan Kenobi from ROTS.

Did the Wii version not have a hood or was that personal choice?

Only using the outfit once, iirc, there was no hood in either the movie or the game play. That was purely an artifact of the Rogue Shadow. And like every custom, it's a personal choice tongue.gif

There's less than 3 weeks, 18 days depending on when you next read this, till we close it for inclusion on the FRONT PAGE. You're always welcome to sumbit at anytime after that, but the July 31 deadline is for inclusion when it goes on the front page only. Casting Call submissions can happen at anytime, to any casting call by submitting them to CorranHorn (Jason). This is the 2nd of our board based submissions, and if anything like the first one, great things will happen.

Thanks to the two of us who've submitted one so far. Some of you/us are working on Multiple Outfits and I personally can't wait to see them all.

As always, thanks to all who participate, are in the process of making them (on time or later), and for helping others make theirs.

That is all.

These are probably my last entries for this Casting Call. Still going to try the Sith Lord costume, but won't make it in time for the deadline.

Kento's Robes

Torso-Quinlan Vos
Arm,Legs-Tol Skorr
Hood-Sandstorm Luke

Since the character had lighting use as a weapon I added it to this guy.

Bounty Hunter

Body-Rahm Kota
Kama-Quinlan Vos
Removable Jango armor
G.I. Joe Tomax "sash"

Again I added lighting, or energy, as a tribute to the characters abilities and the Evolutions figure.

Wait, I've seen these parts, they're drying in my apartment back home!!! dry.gif

On Kento's robes, the cut of the tails of the hood/cloak is a bit abrubt and not as flowing/organic as maybe it should be.

Did you turn the torso of the Quinlan around? (I did as well).

No it's the front of the Vos Torso..I think. I had such issue with swapping arms and got some stuff turned around I had to set these down for a day and go back with a clear head.

For the hood I knew I didn't want the extended parts, but thought sculpting it to turn in or hang a little lower would't flow either so I just left it alone.

James and Paul. Paul and James. No matter how you say it just does not go together. Where are you Don? I know you are out there, I can see you.

As for everyone else you can see that Paul and I did similar figures with similar parts. Copy one of those, get it painted and get it posted.

Which is proof of our concurrent and independent genius. Although our 1st figure is different. (And I've used mostly parts that I was going to offer for shipping to anyone when I have to slow way down here in a few months).

Don is off playing Mafia wars on Facebook. I told him not to do it.

Ash, no excuses, 1 week deadline. You're designing an office for the mob. They just want it done. unsure.gif dry.gif

Not to mention there are The Jungle Training, Raxus Prime, Correllian Pilot/Smuggler costumes to go.

ONE WEEK TO GO FOR INCLUSION IN THE DEBUT PAGE.

You got plenty of time to work on your dios for submission. Work on this to get you re-invigorated.

I'm not sure what the answer is to that...

I guess you could say I'm experienceing a lull in my creative drive. I have not made any kind of custom since late May. I'll admit that the timing of this is rather poor, given that I only just started my drive to re-invigorate the CC's. I shall attempt to kick-start myself...

wallbash.gif Don if you don't kick start yourself I will gladly do it for you. When we selected this CC it seemed like there was interest, I even put my YakInfinites stuff aside to get these guys done because I would like to see the CC's return, but between the participation on this one and the lack of suggestions for the next maybe the next one needs to be the last one for awhile.
