I have been spending my energy lately on putting together a decent-looking X-wing pilot costume. It has taken a long time and even more money, but I think it's looking pretty good. The local Star Wars fan group I joined in December is hosting an event in May, and I was out with one of the other members today to promote it. Here's a photo of us on the campus of the University of Western Ontario. If anyone is interested, the group is calledLondon Rogues

I hastily put the helmet on just before that pic was taken. It was hot and I'd been carrying it around. That's why it's on crooked.

Here is a better shot.




I bought the helmet from Richie's Armor. They make a great vacuformed replica X-wing helmet. I did some painting and weathering myself, and added all the interior bits from various parts I picked up at a surplus store. I wish I knew how to vacuform...
