Nice job. I question whether he would have facial hair though. It seems it would obstruct his mask and prevent a tight seal.

I wanted to go with a head that most people would not use. So different head, YES. Ideal for a combat person...not sure.

James,

Another solid addition to your Joe customs! I never would have thought of using the B-wing pilot torso and the X-wing helmet. How do you plan to arm him? I recall that Airtight had some kind of "sniffer" device which was very practical for his job description, but I always thought he needed something for shootin' bad guys, too.

Right now I am repainting an Eco-Warrior sniffer device. As for a firearm I'm not sure. May attach a side arm... dry.gif

That seems like the most logical thing to do with him.

After seeing that Gene was working on a figure of a character he use to draw I decided to do the same.

NIGHTSTRIKE

Nightstrike is a former Secret Service Agent that was badly injured in an attack on the White House. He is Punisheresque in style and design.

Body-Snakeeyes
Head-Resolute Cobra trooper

Cool figure. I would paint his neck.

I'd shorten the neck (trim the post's ball about 1/3 or drill slightly deeper into the head), than paint the neck.

I should think about offering my services on barrel hollowing to others. I don't know, not seeing it now on other people's work distracts me (this is in respect to the guns).

What did you use for his eye patch/targeting sight?

The red eye was scuplted on. I'll have to look at the neck again I didn't think it was that high..but not the first time won't be the last.

I totally agree with Pbarney about the neck thing being too long on Night Strike, looks like some of the new marvel 3 3/4 figures, really digging how your version of Airtight was done.

I know the eyes look off. Its the eyeliner and the pupil are extremely close to each other.

I think the eyelids need to be cleaned up with another pass of the flesh color. Also, maybe thin out the eyebrows a bit unless your going for bushy ones like I have.

Otherwise, nice work.

Thanks for the tip. I noticed the larger eyebrow after a while of starring at the darn thing. I have gone back and re-pupiled the right eye,it was a little too far to the left.

A buddy of mine said his kid was disappointed that there was no ROC Dusty figure. So this is my take on a movie Dusty.

Head-Ganner Kreig minus ponytail
Body-Desert ambush Duke
Helmet-21st Century soldier

I do plan to go back and give him a typed out name plate.

I am working on updating Sneak Peeks image. So many people dislike the guy because he thought of as being an overweight character and that huge tower is not going to conceal him in battle. Sneak Peek is a Recon Ranger. Did some research and came up with this, again still a WIP. Recon Rangers have mobile survelience robots to check out dangerous areas so I am working on something simiar by modifing a Tredwell.

Head-Comic Wedge
Helmet-Airborne
Torso and upper arms-Snakeyes
Lower arms-Duke
Legs-Falcon
Belt-trimmed webgear
Vest-Beachhead..hey he's a Ranger

Interesting re-invention of the character.

Any clue what the final paint/color scheme will be?

I'm leaning towards gray like the original with an urban camo look on the pants. I do plan to slip red in on spots like the collar and the vest as a nod to the original.

I wanted a leaner more kick butt Sneak Peek that was updated with both the current Hasbro line and the military. Peek no longer has his massive tower scope, instead he comes complete with R.O.S.S. (Robotic Observation Security Sentry)

Sneak Peek
Head-Comic Wedge
Body-Snakeyes
Lower arm-Duke
Legs-Falcon
Helmet-Airborne
Web gear-Cobra officer
Vest-Beachhead

R.O.S.S.
Treadwell droid cut down with WED arm

I wasn't sure what to name the robot. I played with ROSS, ROSE, and TOWER. It was coming up with a meaning that was the hard part. I see in the pics now that I still need to do some touch up work on the helmet. I gave Sneak Peek areas of red to go with the original and painted R.O.S.S.'s post green to go with the original scope.

By web gear you mean belt, you cut the suspenders part off the Cobra Officer one?
