I've found that since I got a small tripod (max. 4'-0" high fully extended), control over the lighting and focus of my customs has increased dramatically.

Shirtless pirate from Chap Mei pirate series. Check out dollar stores or Kmarts for the figure.

At first this was going to my version of Darth Pleaguise (sp?) the Wise but I've read he was more alien than human so this just a Sith Lord. The shading (scar) on the face looks very nice in person I have about 6 layers of coloring on it in a variety of shades.

This one is Vader from the One shot comic. Battle bamage body with the torn cloak and damaged helmet. The close up of the helmet has the flesh eye exposed with metal surrounding it, very similar to what the comic shows.

My interpertation of Vader from the cover of Insiders a few months back.

VOTC Boba Fett with the Head from the Evolutions E2 Trooper. The helmet is a display piece and does not fit.

Nice customs! I've said this before on a different boba custom, he looks to young. Maybe the head would work if scar it up a little. Or use the death star gunner head and scar it. Just an idea.

Speeder Bike Darth Maul legs, EI Dath Maul Torso, screaming Windu head and transplanted horns.

25th Anniversary Vader from Vader vs. Kenobi, right arm from Saga Bespin Vader.

Darth Maul is a counter weight on Vader, he falls over without Maul.

Well it works. Think about darkening the wound on or around the exit would a little. Rather see some dios of the Star Wars Tales feature Vader vs Maul.

Ton,

Nice SA ARC Trooper, very similar to the Red ARC that came in the recent TRU Battlepack. A nice job on the "Purge" Vader as well, I'd have to check back on the comic, but wasn't the exposed area more like 1/3rd the mask? It might be my bad memory playing tricks on me, but a larger exposed area would look cool.

Happy Customizing!

Ton,

That's a slick setup there, a nice use of parts to capture the duel in the comics. The paint detail on Maul's head is great, little things like that aren't easily accomplished. A nice use of the blue lighting to give an eerie effect to your photo.

Happy Customizing!

The blue light was a trick of the camera and the florusent (sp?) lighting over head. I didn't even notice it until you mentioned it, I like it too.

Amazing! Did you sculpt the horns?

That is really good, excellent work! The horns look awesome, heck the whole setup does. Wonderul work, and the painting of Maul's head is excellent.

I transplanted the horns from another darth maul onto the Mace Windu head

I'm wondering huh.gif why you used Vader when you could have used a Kenobi figure? Didn't Kenobi kill him if I am correct?

I think this figure is supposed to be from an issue of "Star Wars Tales". I think three force witches summon the specter of Maul and force Vader to fight him.

Here is another version of one I took at the OSWCC Summer Social.

I like your additions to the concept. The Mace head makes the difference.
