Depends on your point of view -- if the have a streak of oedipus in them, I'd suggest Lama Su. A test tube may also be appropriate :-P.

Well, in real life, Temuera Morrison is married to the lady who played Taun We, so it's by no means unimaginable! smile.gif

Gosh, now I'm feeling the urge to add some of those AT-TE gunner heads to my "wants" list and give a Clone Ball diorama a try meself: "Ladies and gentlemen, may I present TX-429 and Stasis Chamber 318-A." biggrin.gif

Esther,

I'm glad you found a far more eloquent way to express the idea. I'm betting there's an increase tomorrow in the prices of Lama Su with Clone Chamber figures on ebay. :-P

A clone trooper ball thats funny. I'm going to post a picture (hopefully) tomorrow with a more Imperial looking clone suit and a repaint of the original figure.

If I shorten the neck anymore it will be on his chest the picture porbably doesn't give a good representation of that.

I really wish the pictures would turn out clear they look good until I load them..anyway.

My repainted clone has a rank insignia of 4 red dots on the grey spot on the sash. I went with a darker grey for the shirt and and off black for the pants.

My more Imperial looking guy was a Gardinan body, Ric Olie arms and the Gunner head.

Much better -- thanks a bunch! smile.gif

Very neat arrangement. If they weren't in a battle situation, I'd call them definitely very cute! smile.gif Perhaps I'm showing my ignorance here about these particular two figures, but what exactly were the alterations / customizations that were necessary to make this pose possible?

The only thing that doesn't look quite right is the big holes in Yoda's feet, which are very exposed in this pose, but that's unavoidable if one wants to take him down and pose him on a stand sometimes. Otherwise, very nice! cool.gif

I kept the holes in the feet fto keep with whole "toy" concept. The Chewie is a ROTS Chewie with no change, but the yoda required the legs being sculpted over the shoulders of Chewie so while it is a simple custom it is a toy you will not see and great for the escape from Kashyyk diorama.

I'm lovin' this more and more. I may have to try this custom...maybe with a Lt Faytonni body since it's supposed to be an Imperial Officer outfit.

That looks alot better. Good idea for a custom. Too bad the head has such a stupid expression on his face. Maybe a repaint on the head is in order?

tonphanan,

oh yeah I remember that Casting Call, didn't go over so well... sad.gif

nonetheless I like your interpretation of the trooper, he has a slick almost reptilian feel to it. the color scheme is spot on to the design. about the only suggestion I would make is to trim the neck down a bit to bring it back down to a human proportion. cool stuff!

happy customizing!

I really really like the 2nd attempt tonphanan, with the Imperial costume. I think it blends a bit better as "Imperial" or even a Republic transitional look... The Bail body still strikes me as wrong for the character, plus it's taller than average for some reason, but the Impy uniform stands out as pretty perfect I think.

Good painting too, to make the figure not just one bland grey or green-grey color... Something that looks a bit dressy, and interesting. I like it a lot, and it's a good idea I think.

I know everyone does clones but I'm still trying to figure out my new camera and Clones seem to be the only pictures that came out.

First is a couple of Clone Commanders

E3 Clone from Evolutions pack body
Cast of Scorch helmet
Orange Clone has a removeable helmet, again, cast
Cast of ARC Trooper Pauldron

ARC Trooper

Quick Draw body
Clone commander Pauldron, skirt gun holsters
Arc Skirt, Target antenna and gun
I liked the Secret Ceremony Stand, in person, it gives the trooper a menacing look to have a heavly armed trooper around a beautiful piece of work.

I posted these others at JD for one of their challenges, Gladiators and Issard/Daala

I like the bombstrike torso. I know it is not real uniform to the lower half of the body, but I still like the way they turned out.

Let's work on the new camera wink.gif But it all goes to the we should start a thread for photography/article about things like lighting, macros, zooming, flash etc.

I like the Tusken, but feel nipple rings would put this guy over the top ph34r.gif

The arm/shoulder on the Daala is a bit wide. That a Cover Girl comic head? She looks a bit too young/cheerful for that character

Now, your Isard is the class of the group. Dead on, excellent.

My old camera (last three pics) seemed to work better, maybe I can get something better for christmas hypocrite.gif
Yes it is a cover girl head it was the only head I could find that gave the long brownish hair. Thanks on the Isard I used a cast of a Mara Jade head I got in a trade. The arms are Hoth Leia.
