My SW stuff has kind of taken a back seat for a while, but I'm working on my X-Wing Squadron again. Bought another flightsuit and need to drag my Cathar pilot back out again, he's about half-done.

Who else?

I have a number of projects in the works:
1) A Sith Imperial General (for which I have already destroyed a POTF2 AT-AT Commander)
2) I am currently collecting fodder to build the ultimate Han Solo
3) A Sith that I will call Darth Vengeous.
4) Darth Simmons (Just like my avatar, a 4" Gene Simmons Sith Lord!) devil.gif

Which outfit?

Oh, and it looks like my "next" project was Stormtroopers and Bith Fleet troopers. I did say "maybe" though.

Which outfit?

The Return of The Jedi outfit. I feel like that would be the most common way Han would've been seen after A New Hope. He had abandoned the Blood Stripe and went with the yellow stripe.

I am building my own because I hate the head sculpts Hasbro has done of Han in the past 2-3 years (with the ball joint). He looks like he's been hanging from a noose and his neck was stretched. And some of them, like the Saga-035 Escape from Mos Eisley version, look nothing like Harrison Ford. That face sculpt is awful. So I'm taking pieces from different versions to build him right.

I want knee and elbow articulation and a working holster. I will use the head from either the POTJ Bespin Capture, POTJ Death Star Escape, or the POTF2 Commtech version. Although the head on the Endor Raid version is a very good likeness of Harrison Ford, the way the head is cocked doesn't lend itself to every situation.

I am open to any suggestions that anyone has. Feel free to give me your input.

It's still a blood stripe (plus we don't know what color a Drall or Selonian's blood is either, just human arogance to assume all blood is red). Color is indicative of rank or affiliation. The yellow stripe is more or less an artifact of the ESB outfit. Some one get the guy some new pants after being frozen and thawed, I think they'd get moldy or at least smell.

It's funny, but the gray pants that adorned the vintage Kenner ROTJ Han looked really good with the black vest/white shirt combo. Hmmm, perhaps I should create 2 new Han Figures.

Not sure why, but while avoiding the real work I have to do, I made this guy in a few minutes. (I can not, however, seem to get anywhere near this much done on any of the customs that I actually want to do.) I guess I'll add him to my ever growing work-in-progress shelves... tongue.gif

I hate the big gun (not very StarWars-y) But it's what I had available. I have no solid plans here, so I'd love to here any thoughts any of you might have. Also, I've not read much EU. So if this resembles anything from said collection of sources, do let me know.

JK, love your stuff, can't wait to see your Cathar.
PB, I dig the Bith Fleet trooper! (More comments in that thread.)
DS, I can't wait to see the Ultimate Han - and, despite myself, the Simmons as well. You gonna use JarJar's tongue for that? wink.gif

Anyway, that's what I'm working on as I read this thread...

Don't worry too much about the big gun. Did you ever see the ridiculous heavy blaster rifle that came with the POTF2 Death Star Trooper? Who could wield that thing? Maybe a wookie! Plus it looks like the gun you used is the grenade launcher that came with the old Joe Hardball. Because it's a grenade launcher it's excusable. cool.gif

Also, I don't plan to make my Darth Simmons figure with his tongue out. I want one that my son can play with and the tongue hanging out doesn't lend itself to every situation, or many situations for that matter. OOH! IDEA! I need to get some plastic fire included with one of the Boba Fett toys so that I can make Darth Simmons spit fire! devil.gif

...goes to Windows Media Player to crank up his extremely large KISS playlist!!!...

Oh, I just realized that's Big Boa's helmet! (from GI Joe) cool! That reminds me, I want to find an old Crock Master Figure! He and Snake Eyes were my favorite Joes.

Wow you really cannabalized that Biker Scout! And I thought luke put a hurtin' on 'em in ROTJ.

WARNING TO ALL IMPERIAL SCOUTS: Stay away from Pendragon!!!

The figure looks cool. Good job.

I'm going to pick up a few new Will Turner figs for fodder. The POTC stuff does offer some good alternatives for SW customizing.

Well, my Han is coming along. Check out the topic I started in the "Your Customs" section. I actually ended up testing the Endor Raid head... sort of.
The past two customs I've been working on, including Han, have really frustrated me. I love Star Wars and the figures, but I might go back to customizing Joes only. I have to make my customs playable and with the joints & pieces not being standardized, stuff has to be modified to fit together and by that point it's just not sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of play. sad.gif Joes really don't have that problem.

The head is very close the Tarro species. Maybe make it a bit more pale/gray? The first time I saw one was in setting up your starfighter squadrons in a SW Gamer 9 issue in 2003. All I can give you in terms of species background is that they are very loner-ish, so either follow or get out of the way.

The fig works if you dirty up the clone armor.

I'm currently working on a quick Corran Horn figure right now.

I was experimenting with RIT dye on soft plastic parts (and it really does work by the way!!) and wound up changing a Holographic Obi-Wan cape from clear blue to green.

Then it was easy for me to figure out which jedi likes to wear green robes.

He's coming along nicely and should be ready very soon!

I'll be sure to post pics.

I think i'm going to work on a New Republic era Roganda Ismaren and maybe a Sarvec Quest. If you don't know who they are, there's some EU that hasn't been touched too often. Not limiting at all, and part of the whole official Star Wars saga. Couple of R2 units. Now I can get planning on that Admiral Pelleon (or at least Captain). A cantina denzien, and don't know after that.

Still working on Prince Xizor, just need to get some sandpaper and I went back and sculpted on the spine instead of the cast I was using.

Female RFT base on Fritz's custom.

Imperial Knights from the Legacy comic.

Bail Organa from his comfrontation with 501st at the Jedi Temple.

I am, and have been workin on for several days now a scuttled sandcrawler turned into a workshop for my main character, Segnett T'esjk.

Me and a buddy of mine are doing a dio-story together, alternating sections of the story. So far I've got most of the stuff assembled, and started sanding some stuff. There's a few things I gotta still get for the dio-story, but the dio itself is getting on its way.

Cyborgs. Kligson, Ton Phanan (who's pm really set this one off), and Elassar Targon (not a cyborg). Maybe start some holiday customs because it'll be that complicated to do/require that much time (stupid antlers).
