Thanks guys. Clonecommander97, the backpack is indeed Scorch's sans tubes.

DnJ, the sculpting bits serve no purpose other than being sculpted for sculpting's sake rolleyes.gif Just a good practice run for me. This is the one that started out as a Turbo Tank Commander kind of guy, but I labeled him differently in the end. Maybe it's some sort of array of enhanced sensor pads. blink.gif

This is a really beautiful figure. The sculpting is well done and the paint application is good also. The only thing that I could seen that needs improving is I think the airbrush look is better for the camo on the skirt.

Yeah, I'll keep on trying to paint some nice camo pattern, but it sure beats that cow hide pattern I had earlier.

Anyway, again with some sort of fatherly pride, I present to you my second custom figure of my daughter Linet (Starbright). You may remember her as a Padawan during the last days of the Clone Wars. She escaped captivity with the help of Wookiee friends. Ever since, she's been part of various resistance groups until she joined the Alliance. There she quickly became a trusted and skillful pilot. Besides the Rebel insignia, she also carries the triibal symbol of the Wookiee tribe that gave her shelter, when she was in her teens.

Here's a WIP shot some of you may have seen before:

Recipe:
- VTSC X-Wing Luke body + helmet
- GI Joe 25th Ann. Scarlett head
- Tycho Celchu gloves + chest box

I sculpted her chest area just a little bit, to create some sort of bosom unsure.gif

As always, feel free to comment! thumbup.gif

why not just use the new female pilot body?
you did an excellent job on it anyway, and, to be honest, thats what i thought you used ^^;
one issue is that the head seems a little small...

Thanks, buddy!

Indeed, now I'd use the female Evo Rebel Pilot's bodies for this, but I started this before those were out (or before costing less than an arm and a leg, anyway).

I picked Luke's body, because it really is quite small compared to let's say Tycho Celchu's. Even tried Tycho's legs, but that'd make Linet too big. Her head looks small, but it is quite correct imho. I think it's the puffy coveralls. Maybe she likes wearing coveralls one size too big, just like Jacques Villeneuve, the Indycar/F1 racing driver rolleyes.gif

Remco,

What makes her head seem small is her large hands. One thing I learned about drawing comic book character is large hands and feet make the character seem bulkier, IE: The Hulk.

May I suggest cutting the hands from a VvV Range viper. I have some if you need them.

i second Me's comment about the gloves. nice weathering job....basic black wash?

were the helmet insignias (rebel & wookie) decals or hand drawn?

i like the all black version too...a few modifications could be a bridge between clone pilots and tie pilots. i mean, the rebels had to get their kit from somewhere right? and alot of rebels are former imperials....

(nice saber effect as well)

I can see your point on the gloves, Gene and Soja Rinn. I'll see if I have a couple of ladylike gloved hands, otherwise I'll gladly take you up on that offer, Gene smile.gif

The Rebel insignia is a decal, the Wookiee tribe symbol was hand drawn. I just sribbled some lines and dots laugh.gif , but thought it was very fitting for Linet to honour her friends, instead of slapping on two blue Rebel symbols.

I didn't use a wash on this one. Base coat is completely black (see pic), then some dark blue applied in a heavy dry brush manner and finally a lighter blue in a similar fashion. Same goes for the gloves and boots: black, dark grey, light gray smile.gif

The saber effect was done in Photoshop Elements. I need to install it again, so I can make some more saber effects.

Well, I couldn't find a decent pair of smaller gloves, so let's talk trades, Gene rolleyes.gif

And here's a WIP that's been on the backburner for a couple of months. I'd like to call it a Wookiee melee fighter. It's based on this drawing by artist Scarecrow at SWAG. I still need to make the sash, which I'll try to sculpt on the twisty tie you see.

The blades were completely built from scratch. The 'do is not 100% accurate, but it was great practice. Practice makes you better, and I'll have the blades casted by a fellow scummer, so I can make more of this type of Wookiee!

Me's right Remco the links arent working unfortunately, however from what I can see those weapons look cool, and would love to see the Bigger Picture of the Martial Arts Wookiee, I have seen the drawn from SWAG and it looks really cool.

Thanks Gene, they were made from 1mm styrene sheet, pieces of SW weapons/accessories and those round things were cut off from little Lego levers, which I use for ball jointing wrists. That and a little Fixit sculpt.

Here's a shot of an ARC Trooper I made for fellow TFN member Crazy Mike. Yeah, it's anotha clone brotha, but you all know I've got quite a lot of other stuff in progress too dry.gif

More pics can be seen at my site: Incom's Customs Center.

This is actually my first commission (I don't count customs auctioned off at Ebay as commissions) and I must say, it was a lot of fun to work on such a project.

Remco,

This guy looks really good. A lot of the time Clone customs (including some of mine) look like the artist just painted over some existing markings in a new color. This one looks like you came up with your own design for the armor markings. It looks like you re-painted the armor in a slightly off-white, too. The soft-goods kama and rifle sling are nice touches. Well done. Happy customizing!

Interesting! Do the eyes light up or is that a photshop effect?
