Alright, I need something to make my shelving black. Since their MDF, paint really isn't an easy option.

So while doing some research, I found this stuff called MacTac at niunnunbsuniverse.com. He used it for most of his high gloss Death Star floors (same aplication I'm looking at too).

My questions, where to find this? What is the exact product name? How much is it? The generals. I get the principle of applications.

A quick google search revealed that the product is actually called MacTac and is a pressure sensitive adhesive (self-adhesive) product. From what I saw it appears it is commonly used for advertising decals on vehicles and other objects. They also seem to have smaller products for envelopes and the like, I'd suggest a stop to the local office supply shop like Staples and OfficeMax. That might be the first step to locating the product at retail.

Yeah, I saw that too. I did go into Lowes already today but was looking at things that lined cabinets/shelves specifically. Maybe too narrow a focus. Alrighty will keep doing into it.

Feel free to post your own sources/application ideas too.

No it does. If you don't mind posting, how much and how much square footage did it cover?

Also how easy was the application process?

I ended up going with black spray paint and gloss due to budget.
