Hi GM!

I see you are using trading cards to for some of the images, I have looked into this before, they are quite cheap to buy, but are the images good enough quality to use?

Thanks

Jon

Tyk, The punch isnt centered, but it also isnt as far to the left as i have it. One of those things i realized far into the project.
So to keep them consitantly wrong, i didnt change it. Otherwise they would stand out next to the adjusted ones.
As for 4-lom and zuckuss are you asking casue they were originally mixed up?

THS, Yes sir. I meant to take pic this weekend, but 99% of my camera time is spent with baby pictures. My wife, my mom, my mother in law and they all want multiple sets. I took these images on the way out the door for work yesterday... i had been meaning to shoot them since firday....

Jon, they do take a lot of work, color adjustment and so forth. They can be used though, and are a great source. Scan them really high then blur and color adjust.
I have about 500 of these form the 3 movies from childhood. Once i get this project complete, i will make cards with some of the images for the duplicate figs i have.
If i had the time i would scan them all in.

More cards, These are a bit out of order, but i have been trying to get to cards i have made figs for
and have been sitting on my work bench for some time.

Here are my Yak Face cards and surprise surprise... yet another attempt at a blue snag card. I may keep making them till i find one i'm completey happy with and that is unique enough for my liking.

I made the restored canadian verson, and i made a custom "american" version.
Here are the backs.

Thanks to TheHigherStandard for providing the scan of the Yak card to restore.

I just want all of you guys who have shared/traded/sold me scans, coin casts , bubbles that i wouldnt be able to do this project without you all.
This is really a group project, so thanks for helping it along.

They look great G-Man, really great. I am so jealous about how good your cards are looking now. Thanks for sharing.

By the way, the "new" Blue Snag is awesome, especially the POTF version. Cool stuff.

The Blue Snag looks the business! I've never seen that photo either. I'm aching to ask about the source, but I won't...

Man oh man, I wish I had a wall in my house that I could do that with. I remember back when I had a full collection of MOC Vintage Star Wars stuff (long sold sad.gif ), I did the exact same thing. It brings back soooo many good memories. Thanks for sharing the update!

Wow Those look great. I've just recently started to recard my vintage collection, and I've been having some problems. What I do is print out the card front and back on photo paper. Then I glue them both to 110 lb. cardstock, and trim out. The problem I'm having is the glue seems to be soaking through, and causing my ink to stick to the table where I press them. I'm also having trouble with warping. If anyone could help me out, maybe with glue types they use I would be very greatful.

THS, thanks man. I've always wanted this dispaly.
2 rows to go... ROTJ and POTF.

junkie, There are may options for you to go with. I used to use spray mount. before i could print directly to the cardstock.
I think the higher standard used Rubber cement.
Read through the tips and trick section of this site. You will find many answers. I think the glue you use is too liquid, if it is seeping through the paper.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to a very generous collector, who all this time was 10 minutes away from where i work, I am happy to say i have all 63 vintage coins for my recard project.
Alot of them i have collected over the years but the rarer ones, that are very had to come by, i have casts of.

Well i got the last of them last week.

Now that this obsticle is our of the way, i just need some blisters to card some of the more unique size figures...

Here are the last of them.

More cards comming soon. I am falling behind on this if i plan to be done by the end of the year.

They look great! I was speaking to the "generous collector" the other night about POTF coins and figured out that he let you borrow his to make the molds. Pretty small world! (PS - He says to tell you he lost the Han coin so you might be the last collector to see that version - that sucks!)

I try to get out there... That's what I love about this hobby.

I had a computer crash, then got sick. I'm on it, soon. I figured out how to put a coin on any blister. This weekend I'm going to try again with the Gamorrean Guard so I'll pop a coin on there and post a picture.

I hope you are feeling better now.

SWEET!!! Cant wait to see your guard w/coin. He is where i stopped on my recarding. No blister for him.
I was skipping the odd ones, but then my wall was filling up with blank cards, so i stopped.
