Hey everyone...been customizing for about 10 years and finally decided to card a few of my figures. I need to know where I can get vintage style bubbles. There was a guy at C3 that had a huge stack of vintage style bubbles. He was teaching a class on customizing...I figured out that I wanted to card figures AFTER C3 of course so I have no clue where he got those bubbles...he had so many, he had to have purchased or gotten them somewhere.

SO...where do I go???

Thanks in advance!

Try this, take three pieces of wood, 2- 1x4, 7" long, 1- 2x4, 5" long. You will have to cut the 2x4 to width to the shape of your bubble, then secure it to the 1x4 ,take the other 1x4 and cut a hole slightly larger to fit the first piece, then tape a piece of clear plastic on the 1x4 with the hole. take a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the plastic till it sags, then push the pattern to the hole and there you have it, your bubble. You then trim the edge leaving about 1/2" around your border then secure it to the card. You might have to try it a few times to get it perfect. I use this technique often, its low tech and low cost but it works. Let me know of your results. FOXTROT DELTA

I combined these two threads since they're asking the same thing, basically.

Does anyone sell POTF style blisters that are Jawa/R2 sized?

I'm very much into the POTF era and I'm currently trying to card some of my custom creations.

Currently, there is only one size for reproduction POTF blisters available, and it is for the average stature figures. The Gammorean Guard POTF blister is next on Guardian-Dragon's list. But it probably won't come out until next year. POTF blisters for the small figures (jawa, yoda, etc.) won't see the light of day for quite some time I'm afraid. I'd say within the next 3-5 years we might get one like this, but I really don't know. sad.gif

Hello,

did anyone saw the figures from this seller?

http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZpurestarwars

Does anyone know if someone sells the bubbles he uses? Bubbles from Stormtrooper, Boba Fett ... are real vintage style. I know the bubbles von Guardian but these are much better.

Can somebody help me?

You might ask Craig at Toy Restore. He has blisters for the first 12 figures. They are exact matches to the original Kenner blisters. Currently he does not have them listed on his site, but he may still sell you some. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

Just thought I would help spread the word, ToyRestore.com has made some new additions to their product line and one of them is reproduction vintage blisters.

Hey there,

Im new here, but am learning lots, as well as enjoying seeing the packaging recreated and restored of my all time favorite toys.

I was hoping that FoxtrotDelta might be willing to post a picture or two of his bubble making jig to help some of us out. I don't thing I will need the numbers you can get through commercial places, I would maybe just reattach one or two all time loved figures... (Like my original 12 CSPO, who cant stand upright cause his joints are so loose. He was my first, and I still have him!)

I'm late getting in on this, but these are some great tips!

I just started customizing and re-carding some of my figures. I've been using the loose figure blisters you can find on sites like WholesaleCases.com. They do the job pretty well, but I'll check out some of the other places mentioned.

Thanks guys!!

Try Yoda's Hovel (www.classicstarwarsfigures.com), he has the most accurate ones and he has them all. The only one that was off a bit was POTF Barada, everything else was great. He's also good for spare pieces and replacement stickers too!
